Accreditation for PF General Conference underway

Accreditation of delegates for the PF General Conference is still underway in Kabwe.

By 12:00hrs this afternoon, the accreditation that was supposed to start at 08:00hrs had not commenced.

And addressing  delegates this afternoon ahead of the accreditation at Mulungushi Rock of Authority  Chief government spokesperson Joseph Katema expressed happiness that the atmosphere at the venue has remained peaceful.

Dr. Katema who has commended the delegates for their patience and calmness however says accreditation of delegates will resume once acting President Guy Scott arrives at the venue.

He has also paid tribute the law enforcement agents who have kept vigil to maintain peace and order at the Mulungushi Rock of Authority.

Qfm staffer Nancy Chenga who is at Mulungushi Rock of Authority reports that members of the central committee are currently elsewhere locked up a in meeting whose agenda is not clearly known.

She reports that no reports of violence have been recorded so far and that no aspiring candidate has made an appearance at the Mulungushi Rock of Authority .

Meanwhile opposition ABZ president Frank Bwalya who too is at the Mulungushi Rock of Authority has also praised PF members for the peaceful manner they have conducted themselves while waiting for accreditation.

Father Bwalya, who has endorsed PF presidential hopeful Edgar Lungu, has told Qfm news by telephone that PF members have proved wrong skeptics who thought that the process of electing the ruling party’s President would be marred by violence and bloodshed.

He says he is particularly hopeful that this orderliness will continue even after the PF president and subsequent presidential candidate for the 2015 presidential election has been elected.

Father Bwalya states that his hope and confidence is based on among other things how PF members from various camps cheered him when arrived at the venue this morning.
