NGOCC appeals to 2015 presidential hopefuls to take enactment of new constitution seriously

Non Governmental Organizations’ Coordinating Council (NGOCC) has appealed to politicians aspiring for the presidency to take the issue of enacting the new constitution seriously.

NGOCC board Chairperson Beatrice Grillo has told Qfm News in an interview that those aspiring for the top job should not make empty promises with regard to the constitution.

Ms .Grillo says Zambians have waited for so long and will not be cheated again to vote for leaders who are merely politicking on serious issues.

She explains that there is need for every aspiring presidential candidate to seriously explain to the people on how they plan to push and deliver a people driven constitution without anyone pressuring them to do so.

Ms Grillo says the NGOCC stands ready to continue demanding for a people driven constitution.
