Clergyman advises Scott to recognize people’s preference candidate

Acting president Guy Scott has been urged to take recognizance of the people’s preference for the ruling Patriotic Front’s presidential candidate for the forthcoming election.

Presence of God Ministries International founder Christopher Kunda says this is the only way the deepened wrangles that have rocked the ruling party can be resolved.

Pastor Kunda states that it is already clear in the public domain and in the ruling party itself that Defence and Justice Minister Edgar Lungu is the person favored to be the ruling party’s presidential candidate.

He has told Qfm News that his Church is thus of the view that the ruling party should at this end rid the spirit of envy and jealous and allow the person widely favored to be the party’s new leader and candidate for the 2015 presidential election slated for January 20th.

Pastor Kunda has cautioned that much as the ruling PF has chance to come out victorious in the forthcoming election using the incumbency, should the party fail to resolve its wrangles it risks giving an opportunity to the opposition political parties especially the UPND.

The clergy man has also called for a quick solution to the wrangles that have engulfed the opposition MMD.

He says he personally thinks that the coming back to politics of former President Rupiah Banda is not good for the former ruling party and the nation as whole.

Pastor Kunda states Mr. Banda should have remained a person from whom the MMD and the nation draws wisdom and not for him to return to politics.
