High level job creation conference opens

A high level conference on job creation and promotion of inclusive growth in Zambia has opened at Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka today.

The conference is aimed at developing a shared understanding of what matters for inclusive growth and job creation in Zambia.

The conference has drawn participants from the private sector, government, civil society, cooperating partners and academia.

Speaking during the official opening of the conference this morning, Ministry of Finance Permanent Secretary for Budget and Economic Affairs Pamela Kabamba said the conference will provide enriching and analytically-oriented examination of the situation in Zambia with regards to job creation

Mrs Kabimba adds that this will also include exploration of enabling environments, productivity, social protection and learning from international conferences.

She further states that the conference is also expected to establish clear road maps with time frames and actions for the way forward that will foster continued collaboration, dialogue and actions that will move Zambia forward towards job creation.
