NGOCC to support former First Lady

The Non Governmental Organizations’Coordinating Council (NGOCC) has expressed happiness that more women are joining the presidential race.

Former First lady, Dr. Christine Kaseba is in the race for PF presidency joining FDD leader Edith Nawakwi who has declared her candidature for the presidential election slated for 20^th January.

NGOCC Board Chairperson Beatrice Grillo says women will continue to support any woman aspiring to be president regardless of which political party she is coming from.

Ms. Grillo notes that what they want is to ensure that come 20^th January, 2015, a woman will be voted for as President.

She however says they are looking for a woman who is capable of leading the nation and take care of the majority of the people of Zambia and bring hope to the people.

Ms. Grillo has since encouraged other women to come out and contest for the presidency.
