RB advised to continue enjoying retirement

The MMD in Northern Province has advised former republican President Rupiah Banda to continue enjoying his retirement package stop causing confusion in the party.

Provincial publicity and information Secretary Cephas Bwalya has told Qfm news in a telephone interview that party members in Northern Province are extremely disappointed to learn of the decision of the MMD National Executive Committee to suspend party President Dr. Nevers Mumba from the party.

Mr. Bwalya says the general membership in the province will not support Mr. Banda’s political comeback because it is unacceptable.

He states the MMD has a strong functional constitution which does not allow for such ideas.

Mr Bwalya stresses that MMD members only know Dr. Mumba as the sole presidential candidate for the party and not any other candidate.

He has since advised Mr. Banda to form his own political party if he still has interest in active politics.
