Church mother bodies calls upon to guide political parties

Church mother bodies have been called upon to help guide political parties rocked with wrangles over the selection of presidential candidates.

Interim President for Pentecostal Churches in Zambia Franklin Membe has told QFM News that the Church should be seen in the forefront helping the PF handle its succession process in a mature manner.

Reverend Membe says people are looking up to the church to see how best they will guide politicians as some political parties struggles to select their presidential candidates.

He states that the Church should call for an immediate meeting with some political party leaders who are still struggling to select their candidates before the peace of the nation is compromised.

Reverend Membe says he believes that the wrangles which have rocked the ruling PF and former ruling party MMD can only be resolved by giving them necessary counsel on the issues they are facing.
