ActionAid urges prudent economic management during transition

ActionAid Zambia has appealed to government to ensure there is prudent economic management as the country goes through the transition period.

ActionAid Economic Justice Project Officer, Kryticous Nshindano has told Qfm News in an interview that it is unfortunate that President Michael Sata’s death came at a time when the country’s economy is starting to improve.

Mr. Nshindano notes that this a crucial time for the nation hence the need for government to see to it that whatever comes into play does snot destabilize the economy, but builds on what has been achieved during the time when President Sata was in office.

He adds that it is also important for opposition leaders who are contesting for the position of president to clearly state what exactly they will bring to the table with regards to resolving the challenges being faced by the majority Zambians.

Mr Nshindano stresses that it is high time politicians desist from politics of name calling but instead focus their energies on developing the country.

He adds that creating meaningful jobs for Zambians and reducing poverty are some of the key areas that should be given adequate attention.
