Msiska asked to disclose amount of donations towards Sata’s funeral

Youths for Transparency and Integrity (YTI) has appealed to the Secretary to Cabinet to tell the nation how much was realized through donations by well wishers towards President Michael Sata’s funeral.

YTI Executive Director Bright Muchimba says it is extremely important to update the nation on how such resources have been used after an important event of such magnitude.

Mr. Muchimba notes that failure to avail the public on how much was realized and used will lead to suspicions and speculations by people.

He adds that for the sake of transparency and accountability, it is important for the general public know how much was contributed and how the money was used.

Mr. Muchimba says if the people are satisfied with the way their contributions were used, it will motivate them to contribute more when there is need in the future.
