Campaigns will be peaceful- Kampyongo

Home Affairs Deputy Minister Steven Kampyongo says his Ministry will ensure that campaigns for presidential election are conducted in a peaceful manner.

Mr. Kampyongo says his ministry will not tolerate any form of violence during and after campaigns.

Speaking in an interview, Mr. Kampyongo say Police will be on hand to ensure that people violating the law are brought to book.

He says it is also incumbent upon the political cadres themselves to ensure that they desist from engaging in activities that would promote violence.

Mr. Kampyongo has since called on all political parties to conduct their campaigns peacefully.
