ZCSD counsels politicians to select presidential candidates peacefully

The Zambia Council for Social Development (ZCSD) has appealed to political parties to select their presidential candidates in a peaceful manner.

ZCSD Executive Secretary Lewis Mwape says political parties should have the Zambian people at heart before their own desires considering that they are the people they want to save.

Mr. Mwape says any one aspiring to be President would not want to see the people they want to rule fighting or die, therefore the need to maintain peace during the selection processes of presidential candidates.

He adds that political parties should look to God for direction on how they should go about doing things.

Mr. Mwape has stressed that Zambia must survive beyond this period.
