Zambia needs a’ unifying factor’ leader – EFZ

The Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) says what Zambians need right now is a leader who will be able to manage the transition effectively.

EFZ Executive Director Pukuta Mwanza has told Qfm news that the country needs a leader who is going to be a unifying factor and bring the people of Zambia together across tribal, political and religious backgrounds.

Reverend Mwanza notes that such a leader should have a national image and be able to build on the foundation of the past Presidents so that the country is able to move forward.

He adds that the next president should be someone committed towards the enactment of the new constitution before 2016, adding that the heightened confusion that has arisen in the country could have been avoided if the country had a good constitution in place.

Reverend Mwanza says the next President should also be a man of integrity if the country does not want to find itself in a disastrous situation.

He notes that it will be easy for the people of Zambia to trust a man of integrity.

He has further reminded politicians vying for the Presidency not to make promises that they will not be able to fulfill, but rather be honest even during their campaigns.

Reverend Mwanza has since encouraged Zambians to continue praying that God gives the country a leader of his choice who will be able to lead the country as the Lord directs him to do.
