Young politicians still needs old politicians – CCZ

The Council of Churches (CCZ) in Zambia has advised that young politicians still need the old crop of politicians around them.

CCZ Secretary General Reverend Suzanne Matale says young politicians should not be in a hurry to move on by discarding old politicians.

Reverend Matale notes that both young and older people need to work together and exchange ideas in the running of the nation’s affairs.

Rev. Matale states that it is not a matter of replacing the old with the new, but a matter of working together, noting that young people on their own cannot to do everything but need people with experience on their side.

She adds that older people should also not look down on young people but accommodate them so that they can learn from them in readiness to lead the nation as the old generation of leaders fades out.

Rev. Matale notes that if both young and old people embrace each other, the country is likely to move forward in love and harmony.
