Govt’s admission that Sata was evacuated to London cheers Changala

ChangalaCivil rights activist Brebner Changala has welcomed the admission by Information and Broadcasting Services Minister Joseph Katema that President Michael Sata was actually evacuated to London where he died.

State House had prior to President Sata announced that he had traveled abroad for a medical checkup.

In an interview with Qfm News Mr. Changala has however observed that the revelation by Dr. Katema, who is also the Chief Government Spokesperson, is in fact an open admission that the PF government has not been telling the people of Zambia the truth for a long time.

Mr. Changala however states that Dr Katema’s revelation does not on take away the need to institute a commission of inquiry to ascertain occurrences prior to the death of President Sata.

He says he believes what Dr. Katema has revealed could only be a tip of an ice beck of what has been concealed from the Zambian people.

Mr. Changala has also disclosed that he has today Wednesday, 12th November filed an affidavit in Lusaka High Court to discontinue the matter in which he sought the institution of a medical board to ascertain President Sata’s health condition to continue being the country’s President.

He says this is order to pave way for the establishment of the said commission of inquiry especially that pursuing the establishment of a medical board will at present only be an academic exercise now that President Sata is late.
