‘I’d never condone Nazism in my art’ – Nicki Minaj apologises for her offensive music video

Nicki Minaj has apologised for her most recent music video.

The singer was criticised for using Nazi imagery in the video for her new song only.

The animated video shows Nicki as a dictator alongside an army of soldiers wearing red armbands.

Chris Brown also appears in the video as a military leader while rapper Drake appears as the Pope.

Lil Wayne is also involved in the song and video.

Taking to Twitter, Nicki defended the video saying she had no control over the concept.Nicky

She wrote: “Both the producer, and the person in charge of over seeing the lyric video (one of my best friends & videographer: A. Loucas), happen to be Jewish.

“I didn’t come up with the concept, but I’m very sorry and take full responsibility if it has offended anyone.

“I’d never condone Nazism in my art.”

She added: “The artist who made the lyric video for Only was influenced by a cartoon on Cartoon Network called Metalocalypse & Sin City.”
