PF not for sale – Lungu

Patriotic Front Secretary General Edgar Lungu says the ruling party is not for sale to the highest bidder.

Speaking during at National Heroes Stadium after the end of the requiem mass, Mr Lungu says PF’s poor constituency the poor and the marginalized will not allow special interest and cartels devoted only to individual selfish interests and greed to take away their only instrument of liberation.

Mr Lungu who spoke amidst cheers from PF cadres says to honour the late President who was the party’s founding leader, the PF will remain resolute and true to his universal human principles and values which he stood for.

He says the PF cannot be diverted from its mission to transforming Zambia into a more just and prosperous country.

Mr Lungu says the PF will continue to pursue its mission until Zambia is transformed into a modern, prosperous and decent society in which every human being regardless of social status, gender or ethnicity has a chance to succeed.

Mr Lungu acknowledged that the Patriotic Front is at its weakest point, but that the party owes it to its departed leader to regroup, unite and carry on where he signed off.
