Jacob scores in Demirspor win

Jacob Mulenga scored his third successive goal in Turkey after inspiring Adana Demirspor to a 2-1 home win over Karsiyaka on Sunday.

The 30-year-old Zambia striker has continued to find the target in Turkey just two weeks after he was snubbed for Chipolopolo’s forthcoming final two 2015 Africa Cup Group F qualifiers against Mozambique and Cape Verde.

Jacob equalised for Demirspor in the 36th minute against Karsiyaka before his team mate Tayfur Bingol scored the winning goal in the 80th minute.

The Zambia strikers’ goal takes his tally in his first season in Turkey to five from nine matches played since joining Demirspor in August as a free agent from Dutch club FC Utrecht.

Meanwhile, Demirspor are fifth in the Turkish first division after the win on 14 points, seven behind leaders Osmanlispor.
