It is gratifying that sanity has returned in PF – HH

The opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) says it is gratifying that relative calm has returned in the ruling PF camp after some unfortunate incidences that almost disturbed the peace and unity Zambians have enjoyed over the years.

UPND President Hakainde Hichilema has told QFM News in a statement that any form of anarchy will be totally alien and a shame that would be against the wish of the departed President, who he says deserves respect and honour, more so from his colleagues in the PF.

Mr. Hichilema says he takes pride in the manner that Zambians have come together peacefully to mourn the passing of President Michael Sata.

He says the manner in which the Zambian people have conducted themselves with dignity so far has been impressive and something late President Sata would have been proud of. HH

He reiterates that the Zambian people are the country’s best asset, and this has once again been proven in the way they have conducted themselves in the past few days from the day the country lost the Head of State.

The UPND Leader says for now the country should look forward to putting to rest the remains of the late President on Tuesday.

He has since called on all Zambians to exercise maximum restraint and respect, especially that the country is expecting a lot of foreign dignitaries.
