ZP to partially close 10 roads in Lusaka during Sata’s funeral procession

Late President Michael Sata’s funeral cortege

Ten main roads in Lusaka will on Monday the 10th and Tuesday the 11th of November be partially closed to allow procession of the state funeral for late President Michael Sata.

The Zambia Police Public Relations Office has made the announced in a public notice statement released to Qfm News.

The roads that will be partially closed are Independence Avenue, Church Road, Pundit Neru, Haile Salassie, Chikwa Road and Cairo Road.

Other roads that will be partially closed are Nationalist Road, Addis Ababa Road, Great North Road and Great East Road.

This is order to facilitate the movement of the cortege and mourners procession of late President Sata to Heroes Stadium and eventually to the Embassy Park for burial.

The Zambia Police has since advised Motorists to use alternative routes adding that traffic police officers will be at hand to give directives.
