Sata was committed to seeing Zambia attain MDGs – Ndongwe

Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company Managing Director, George Ndongwe, says late President Michael Sata was committed to see Zambia attain the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) on Sanitation.

Mr.Ndongwe has told QFM News in an interview that the late Head of State ensured that sanitation was given the necessary attention.

Mr.Ndongwe says President Sata believed in having cleaner and safer drinking water not only in Lusaka but in all parts of the country, and that he will be missed for that.

He says even before becoming Republican President, President Sata believed that promotion of sanitation was at the center of the country’s development.

Mr.Ndongwe has since advised the next President to carry on with President Sata’s vision towards the sanitation sector.
