Former National Assembly deputy Speaker Jason Mfula has described President Michael Sata as a great man who walked the talk even when people criticized him.

Mr Mfula has told Qfm News in a telephone interview that President Michael Sata’s death has left a huge gap in the country’ political system

He recalls that many are the times when President Sata spoke without fear on issues affecting the vulnerable in society and made sure that he found ways of recognizing them regardless of their political affiliation.

Mr Mfula adds that President Sata also showed concern and paid attention to development of the road infrastructure throughout the country enabling Zambians to move easily and do their businesses with much difficulty.

The former Deputy Speaker who is also a canon in the Anglican church of Luapula Diocese, notes that there is need for Zambians to remain peaceful and united as the country continues to mourn President Sata.

He stresses that President Sata will be remembered for his generosity and unique way of doing things which took him to greater heights at international level.

Mr Mfula has since conveyed his condolences to the first family and has wished the family God’s comfort during this trying moment.
