David and Victoria Beckham are thought to be worth £165m (not counting the generous cheque Romeo probably got for his starring role in Burberry’s Christmas campaign) and with plenty of cash comes a taste for the finer things in life.
However, the British power couple may prove they’re as ordinary as the average family this festive season with their uncharacteristically-basic dinner plans.
The retired footballer and his fashion-designer wife are said to have been given an offer they can’t refuse.
David and Victoria have been invited to get their teeth into a £7.99 slap-up festive dinner
at cheap-as-chips pub chain Wetherspoons, according to The Sun.
It’s thought the hunk’s sister Lynne and her partner Kevin Briggs have arranged the family gathering at The Half Moon pub in Stepney, East London, which is near to where he grew up.
The tabloid claims Kevin sent a text to the parents-of-four which read: “‘Spoons Xmas meal in few weeks. Let us know if you’re in. We’ll do a fiver max secret Santa.”
He then added: “Sorry, with inflation we’re making it £6.”
Although David and Victoria are currently living in their West London home with sons Cruz, Romeo and Brooklyn and daughter Harper-Seven, they often jet back to LA so it’s not certain whether they’ll be in the country to be wined and dined at Wetherspoons.
