AVAP counsels political parties ahead of Presidential poll

The Anti Voter Apathy Project (AVAP) has called on political parties to abide by the electoral code of conduct during campaigns ahead of the forthcoming presidential election to avoid AVAP-Director-Richwell-Mulwaniconfusion during campaigns.

And AVAP has counseled all political parties to tame their overzealous cadres to ensure they do not engage in activities that may lead to violence during campaigns.

AVAP Executive Director Richwell Mulwani has told QFM News in a telephone interview that the Zambia Police should also be seen to be on top of the agenda by ensuring that they help to control unruly cadres.

Mr. Mulwani says voters are not interested in violence but in the message political parties have for them ahead of the election.

He adds that there is also need for the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) to ensure that there is no electoral corruption during campaigns.
