People continue trekking to Govt House to sign book of condolences

People from all walks of life have continued trekking to Government House in Lusaka to sign in the book of condolences for late Republican President Michael Sata who will be buried on Tuesday next week.

Speaking to journalists after signing in the book of condolences this morning, International Conference on Great Lakes Region Executive Director, Frank Oyugi-Okuthe says late President Sata believed in justice and equality.

Dr.Okuthe says not only was President Sata committed to the liberation of Africa, but he also believed in the promotion of peace, justice and equality.

Dr. Okuthe states that President Sata believed that once you take care of social injustice, then it is possible to address the root cause of injustice.

And member of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Committee of Elders, Felix Mutati, says the legacy of the late President remains in the souls of the people of Zambia.

Mr. Mutati, who is also Lunte MMD Member of Parliament, says there is an urgent need for the PF leadership to seal their misunderstandings and ensure that President Sata is accorded the respect he deserves.

The former Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister, adds that people should be allowed to mourn their departed leader in a dignified manner.
