Musicians advised to compose one song ahead of Presidential by-election

Musicians across the country have been advised to come up with one peaceful song that will give direction in the country during campaigns ahead of the forthcoming presidential by-elections.

Musician Kings Mumbi, popularly known as Kings Malembe Malembe, has told QFM News in an interview that there is need for musicians to come together and guide the nation in peaceful campaigns by composing one powerful song for that purpose.

Kings says musicians must play a pivotal role in ensuring that campaigns leading to the presidential election are peaceful.

He notes that the behavior of cadres in the recent past has not been motivating and thus the need for musicians to ensure that they communicate a relevant message to cadres on how they should conduct themselves during campaigns.

He says the people of Zambia are also looking up to musicians to see how best they can also contribute to taming the cadres.

Kings has further advised fellow artists to come together and compose one song about the late President by portraying the kind of person he was.
