Lusaka Province Permanent Secretary Wamunyima Muwana has thanked the people of Zambia for turning up in large numbers to mourn President Michael Sata at the Lusaka show grounds and other designated mourning places.
Mr. Muwana says the response from the general public is very overwhelming and is comforting to the bereaved families in their grief.
He says the spirit the people of Zambia have shown in mourning the late President should continue.
Mr Muwana says the Zambian people have shown that they appreciate what the late President did during his time as Head of State.
The Lusaka Province Permanent has also revealed that they are also organizing an overnight prayer meeting in the show grounds a night before the President is put to rest so that the general public is accorded enough time to mourn with the first family.
