FFTUZ advises politicians to avoid provocative statements

The Federation of Free Trade Unions of Zambia (FFTUZ) has advised politicians not to engage in activities that will dent the image of the country to the international community.

FFTUZ Acting President Msiska Chingati has told QFM News in a statement that it is unfortunate that even before the late President is buried, confusion seems to emerging in the PF.

Mr. Chingati says the country’s tradition and culture are totally against irresponsible behavior during the period of mourning.

He states that politicians must at all times avoid doing things that may embarrass the nation.

Mr Chingati has urged the PF leadership to remain united during this trying moment and avoid things that may be viewed as insulting to the late Head of State.

He has emphasized that this is not the time to exchange bitter words or express greediness or practice politics of selfishness, but a time to unite.

The FFTUZ Acting President has since urged responsible politicians both from the ruling and opposition to counsel the irresponsible politicians in a bid to safeguard the integrity of the country.
