Chief Madzimawe counsels politicians

Chief Madzimawe of the Ngoni speaking people in Eastern Province has advised politicians to desist from issuing provocative statements during the national mourning period, noting that such statements are recipe for anarchy.

And Chief Madzimawe has called on all individuals in PF who are vying for the presidency to follow the steps of Mulenga Sata and apologize to the Zambian people for causing what he has termed as “tension” in the country.

Chief Madzimawe has told QFM News in a telephone interview that the recent decision by Acting President Dr. Guy Scott to fire Edgar Lungu as PF Secretary General is one good example of provocation.

Chief Madzimawe says he believes the PF leadership can play a pivotal role in mourning late President Michael Sata in dignity by refraining from being provocative.

He says if the PF leadership was proud of late President Sata, they will wait until he is buried before engaging in any other activity.

The Traditional leader states that Chiefs from Eastern Province are disappointed with the manner the PF is handling the succession issue which he says is causing confusion during the national mourning.
