Nsanda fumes at ‘cartel’ over Lungu’s candidature

Patriotic Front member of the Central Committee in-charge of transport and late President Michael Sata’s campaign manager in the 2011 elections Willie Nsanda has expressed shock at the level of desperation by what he has termed as the cartel as they try to fight Edgar Lungu who has been seen as a natural successor of President Michael Sata.

Mr Nsanda’s reaction follows a story that Justice and Defence Minister Edgar Lungu has refused to be the PF candidate in the forthcoming presidential election, citing alleged weakness despite alleged pleas from Mr Nsanda.

Mr Nsanda has told QFM News that he has never had any confidence in the cartel, but that he has always had confidence in Mr Lungu which is why he was at his house for a series of meetings last night until the early hours of this morning (Monday).

He says to cook up a story that there was a meeting where Mr Lungu was supposed to be but did not attend is so very wrong.

Mr Nsanda says this level of desperation on the part of the cartel is a true reflection that they have quickly run out of ammunition as Mr Lungu’s popularity continues to rise.
