Edgar Lungu is in good health – Hapunda

Patriotic Front Director for Media and Publicity Brian Hapunda has charged that the story carried by some a named online publication suggesting that PF Secretary General Edgar Lungu has health problems is a total fabrication and must be discredited with the contempt they deserve.

In a statement issued today, Mr. Hapunda says contrary to the assertions made, the PF Secretary General is in good health and is providing leadership to the party at this critical time.

Mr Hapunda says Mr. Lungu has not shown any presidential ambitions this far and it is unfortunate that certain media houses are putting his name forward for the PF party presidency without an affirmative response from him as regards the PF top job.

He says after mourning, Mr. Lungu will then be able to make his position known to the nation, but that as at now he is mourning with the rest of the nation.

Mr Hapunda has further urged Zambians not to believe such stories but concentrate on mourning the later republican President Michael Sata.
