The Islamic Council of Zambia has conveyed heartfelt condolences to the people of Zambia and the family of President Michael Sata on his passing.
Islamic Council of Zambia President Suzyo Zimba says God has a purpose for taking the life of President Sata.
Mr Zimba says Zambians should accept God’s will.
Mr. Zimba says the Muslim community will always be grateful to President Michael Sata as well as other presidents that have ruled Zambia for allowing Muslims to worship freely in the country.
He states it is God who gives and he is the one who takes hence there is no need for the Zambian people to simply thank God for the life of President Sata.
Mr. Zimba has further urged the people of Zambia to stay strong and mourn the president in a peaceful manner and grant him a befitting funeral.
