Chiefs mourn Sata

The House of Chiefs has joined in expressing heartfelt condolences to the first lady Dr Christine Kaseba Sata,the first family and the nation at large following the untimely death of President Michael Sata.

House of Chiefs Chairperson Senior Chieftainess Nkomeshya Mukamambo the second says the traditional leaders ask the almighty God to give strength and comfort Dr Kaseba-Sata and the nation during this difficult and painful time.

Chieftainess Nkomeshya says it the sincere hope and prayer of the royal highnesses that political leaders, the church, civil society organizations and government wings will maintain and promote peace and togetherness during this trying period.

And Chieftainess Nkomeshya has announced that fourth session of the fourth House of Chiefs that was scheduled to take place from 16th to 21st November,2014 has been postponed.

She says members of the House will be communicated to on further developments.

And The Bemba Royal Establishment (BRE) has appealed to politicians not to politicize the death of Republican President Michael Sata.

And the BRE says there is need for the next President to recognize Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people.

Bemba Royal Establishment Spokesperson Washanga Impika-shalubemba has told QFM News that there is need for all people regardless of political affiliation, race or tribe to mourn the late Head of State in oneness.

Washanga says what has befallen the country is a sad development especially that the death of the President has come as a surprise to the Zambian people.

He adds that the Bemba speaking people join the family of the late president in celebrating his life.

Washanga says the death of President Sata should unify the people of Zambia.
