2015 National Budget will encourage donors to help Zambia – Norwegian envoy

Norwegian Ambassador to Zambia Arve Ofstad says the 2015 national budget is a step in the right direction.

Ambassador Ofstad has told Qfm news that the 2015 budget will encourage donors to help Zambia develop into a more prosperous nation and reduce poverty in the rural areas.

Ambassador Ofstad notes that the budget has given a clear indication on how government plans to increase its allocation to the most critical sectors in the near future.

He says though there is concern from different stakeholders on the reduced allocations to the health and education sectors, the difference is minimal and the country can cover-up.

And Ambassador Ofstad has called for diversification of the agriculture sector.
