Tembo reaffirms commitment to empowering women

Aspiring Kabwata Member of Parliament Clement Tembo says empowering women in his constituency is and will remain one of his priorities on his development agenda was elected into office.

Mr. Tembo says this is why he has continued facilitating issuance of small loans to women in Market areas of the Kabwata constituency.

He says following his last week visit at Chilenje market in Lusaka, today the 19th of October he is facilitating this platform of exposure to woman at Gondwe Market of Lusaka’s Lilayi area.

Mr. Tembo has told Qfm News that he is doing all this because he thinks that women in Kabwata constituency have been neglected for too long.

He says one other important thing he wants to do for women traders at Gondwe Market is to see how a modern market can be built for them.

Mr. Tembo notes his visit to Lilayi is also meant to consolidate the 25th committee of the ward structures he is creating in Kabwata constituency ahead of his elections as Member of Parliament.

He says from Lilayi he will he make his last of such visits to Mahopo area which also within the Kabwata constituency.
