Allocate more funds to adult education – ZANEC pleas

The Zambia National Education Coalition (ZANEC) has appealed to government to consider allocating more funds to programs to improve youth and adult learning programs in the country.

ZANEC Board Secretary Kakunta kabika has told Qfm New in an interview that the fact that education is the key to a better and vibrant nation, government should take a step further in supporting programs aimed at uplifting standards of education for all.

Mr.Kabika notes that already there has been a high demand and interest by many Zambians to get into adult education but that what has been the hindrances is the limited resources allocated to youth and adult learning programs in the country.

He says this is ZANEC thinks that government must seriously consider allocating more resources to the youth and adult education programmes especially in rural areas.

The ZANEC Board Secretary states that this is particularly that many Zambians in rural areas do not have access to better schools and reading materials.
