ZDDM to mourn in black on Jubilee

The opposition Zambia Direct Movement (ZDDM) says it will use the Zambia 50th independence jubilee to dress in black as a sign of mourning for the country’s failure to remain independent.

ZDDM president says his party is of the view that a country that is rich and blessed with abundant natural wealth is today more divided and with no common vision.

In a statement to Qfm News, Mr. Sakala says worse still is that the national cake is allegedly only being enjoyed by those in power while the majority population is dehumanized, suffering and dying in numbers higher than that of countries at war and even those experiencing the Ebola outbreak.

He says his party therefore thinks that Zambians stand out in the whole world as an example of a failed nation whose people generally think with their mouth and stomach.

Mr. Sakala adds his party thinks that the country is allegedly a present day example of the Biblical Tower of Babylon and Sodom and Gomorra as citizens are purposefully shepherded into being preoccupied with each one seeking self gratification.
