Restore trust in MMD – Lungu tells Zambians

Opposition Movement for Multi Party and Democracy (MMD) has appealed to the people of Zambia to restore trust in it.

Speaking during the welcoming of 81 defectors from the ruling Patriotic Front and the United Party for National Development (UPND) in Lusaka today, MMD National Secretary Muhabi Lungu says MMD is a united party which is ready for the 2016 general election.

Mr. Lungu notes that MMD is a united party as it represents all Zambians despite which tribe they belong to unlike some other parties that full of tribalism.

And MMD Lusaka Province Chairman Watson Mtonga has charged that the ruling Patriotic Front allegedly lied to the people of Zambia because they promised to bring change what has not up to date been seen.

Mr. Mtonga notes that the ruling party promised to deliver a people driven constitution, create jobs for the Zambian youths among other promised but have not fulfilled them three years in power.

He adds that the receiving of defectors in the party is therefore the beginning of a great revolution for the former ruling party.
