Women Empowerment cardinal for GBV fight – Ng’ambi

Gender and Child Development Permanent Secretary, Daisy Ng’ambi, says empowering of women is cardinal in addressing Gender Based Violence (GBV) in homes.

Ms. Ng’ambi says poverty has also contributed to GBV in many families in rural communities citing that empowering of women in rural communities should therefore help to reduce the increase in the cases of GBV.

She notes that with adequate food in homes she believes that cases of GBV can reduce.
