Lusaka businesswoman nabbed for cocaine trafficking

The Drug Enforcement Commission has arrested a 29 year old businesswoman of Lusaka for trafficking in cocaine.

Commission Assistant Public Relations officer Chibu Tembo says Annie Musonda, 29, a Businesswoman of Chilenje area has been arrested for trafficking in rocks of cocaine weighing 27.3 grams.

Ms Tembo says the suspect was apprehended as she was about to transact along Kalomo road in Chilenje Township.

In a related but separate incidence, the Commission in Lusaka has arrested Webster Kalikhoka Muzeche, 32, a Businessman of plot No.54 Makeni area for trafficking in granules of cocaine weighing 0.5g.

Meanwhile the Commission in Southern Province has arrested a Malawian national for trafficking in cannabis.

Ms Tembo says Prince Ndundambeza, 26, of Kasaka area in Kafue district has been arrested for trafficking in loose cannabis weighing 6.1kg.

She says the suspect was apprehended at Kafue Bridge and has been on the watch list for supplying psychotropic substances in the area.
