YALI reminds PF to improve on human rights

Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) has noted the need for the ruling PF to improve on the protection of fundamental freedoms and human rights.

YALI Governance Advisor Isaac Mwanza has told QFM News that the PF has not fared well in terms of protection of human rights.

Mr. Mwanza says the violation of fundamental freedoms and human rights by the PF has even attracted the attention international community.

He says the country has witnessed so many arrests of opposition leaders perceived as threats to the PF’s stay in power.

Mr Mwanza has charged that the PF has in the three years of being in power transformed into the most violent political party even more than the former ruling party, MMD.
