Kaingu says he is not MP to pay MMD

MMD Mwandi Member of Parliament Michael Kaingu says he is still in consultations over his intentions to withdraw his monthly contribution to the former ruling party.

Dr. Kaingu, who is also former MMD vice president, was recently quoted to have indicated that when Parliament opens he would withdraw his contribution to the former ruling party because it is not allegedly paying any dividends.

But when contacted for comment on his intentions now that Parliament has resumed sitting, Dr. Kaingu has told Qfm News in an interview that he has not yet withdrawn his monthly contribution.

Dr. Kaingu says he is still thinking about his intentions.

Asked whether he understands the consequences of withdrawing his contribution as earlier indicated by party Deputy National Secretary Chembe Nyangu, Dr. Kaingu says he did not become a Member of Parliament to start paying the MMD.
