NCZ creating space for imported fertilizer – Banda

Nitrogen Chemicals of Zambia (NCZ) Chief Executive Officer, Zuze Banda says the company is frantically working towards the distribution of the 15, 000 tones of fertilizer that is lying idle in the warehouse in order to create space for the fertilizer imported from Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Banda has told QFM News that of the 15, 000 tones, 8, 000 tones is Compound D while 7, 000 is urea which needs to be distributed as soon as possible.

He says the company is need of money to pay transporters who will help distribute the inputs to various district of the country.

Mr Banda adds that the fertilizer government procured from Saudi Arabia will be arriving in the country by next week via South Africa.

And Mr. Banda has revealed that the fertilizer manufacturing company is in dire need of engineers to help with effective operations.
