ZNFB bemoans difficulties in accessing financial services

The Zambia National Federation of the Blind (ZNFB) has bemoaned the challenges encountered by visually impaired persons in accessing financial services from financial institutions.

ZNFB publicity secretary Peter Bwale has told Qfm News in an interview that the visually impaired ate subjected to discriminatory conditions in accessing financial services.

He says what is more worrying is that even government institutions such as the Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) has not been helpful in considering applications by the visually impaired.

Mr. Bwale has since appealed to government to see to it that the visually impaired are recognized as Zambian citizens with the ability to do things that any other human being can do.
