Chisamba Lungu hopes of putting his 2015 AFCON qualifying woes behind him on Monday were crashed with a defeat on his return to club duty.
The Zambia midfielders’ Russian club FC Ural lost 2-1 away to Amkar Perm in a round seven game of the 2014/2015 Premiership season.
Chisamba came on in the 46th but could not still lift the team who were already trailing 2-1 before halftime.
The defeat was second from bottom Ural’s fifth successive defeat and trace their last win to March 29 when they beat Anzhi 2-1 at home.
Chisamba’s return to club duty comes after playing in Zambia’s 0-0 home draw with Mozambique and 2-1 away loss to Cape Verde in the 2015 Africa Cup Group F qualifiers.
