Freedom fighter Peter Matoka extolled

New Apostolic church district Apostle Charles Ndandula has eulogized late freedom fighter and academician Peter Matoka for his love and commitment to God.

Speaking during a church service for the late Dr Matoka held at New Apostolic church central congregation in Lusaka this morning, Apostle Ndandula says Dr Matoka was a humble Christian who always dedicated his time to the word of God.

Apostle Ndandula says that his prayer is that God comforts the Matoka family and help them accept that when death strikes, it causes pain and ends a lot of plans.

He says it is in this regard that Christians should always understand that eternal life exists and is a way to get to the heavenly father through Christ.

And Vice President Guy Scott who led several mourners in paying their last respects to the late Dr Matoka has extolled the late veteran freedom fighter for his contribution to the country.

Among the people present at the funeral church service included several Cabinet Ministers and politicians from both ruling and opposition parties.

And President Michael Sata has declared tomorrow Wednesday 17th September,2014 as a day of national mourning in honour of the late Dr Matoka.

Dr Matoka’s remains will be flown to Mwinilunga today where he will lie in State at his lodge before burial tomorrow in Chief Kanongesha’s chiefdom.
