Govt identifies Agriculture, Construction as job creation vehicles

Government says it has identified the Agriculture and Construction sectors as the vehicles to use for continued job creation in the country.

Commerce Trade and Industry Minister Robert Sichinga says government has also indentified the Tourism and Manufacturing sectors as the other sectors it will use to create jobs in the next few years.

He says it is for this other reason that government has embarked on several ambitious programmes through the formation of strategies for industrialization and job creation where government plans to create a number of jobs for the Zambians.

Mr. Sichinga says the promise of job creation is however already being seen in the country in the many jobs that have been created so far.

Mr. Sichinga says the Patriotic Front government is working on ensuring that it fulfills its 2011 campaign promises it made to the people of Zambia.
