Sata should break the ‘silence’ – Chipenzi

The Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) has observed that the squabbles that have rocked the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) are as a result of the void that has been created by President Michael Sata’s silence and absence from public domain.

FODEP Executive Director MacDonald Chipenzi has told QFM News in an interview that there is need for President Sata to speak out about the fighting that has rocket his party and handle the situation meticulously.

Mr. Chipenzi notes that it will be a serious national risk if cadres with machetes resume their behavior they exhibited last year considering that the Head of State is quiet about national matters.

He says the people of Zambia are also expecting the National Assembly of Zambia to help the nation in coming out of what he has termed as “quagmire.”

He states that Article 51 of the country’s constitution is very clear that the National Assembly will hold Cabinet accountable and thus the need for the National Assembly to come out strongly and address the situation.
