Rupiah World cup bound

President Rupiah Banda has disclosed that South African President Jacob Zuma has invited him to attend the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup tournament starting on June 11 2010.

President Banda told journalists at State House this morning when he appended his signature on the FIFA ball being taken across some selected countries by a group called 'Spirit of Football'.
And the president says he enjoys watching football because it brings people together from all over the world.
He says football is also good for character as it shapes people into responsible citizens who are able to work well with others.
And Spirit of Football Director Andrew Aris said his team composed of three members started their journey from London on January 24, marking their 113th day in Zambia today.
He said the ball President Banda signed today already has 13, 600 signatures on it from other countries, adding Zambia is the 27th country in Africa to append a signature on the ball.
Aris says from Zambia his team will be heading to Namibia, followed by Botswana before finally heading to South Africa for the World Cup tournament.

There goes the zambian president again, this time for football.A resonable and more responsible president can or will always weigh the cost of his trip and the relevance of such an undertaking as to whether it benefits its citizenry.Look it does matter who invites you,it can be president Obama or anybody else all you need is to use wisdom and evaluate the expense involved relative to the prevailing economic condition of your country.
