Zambia Police recruits officers for new districts

The Zambia Police Service has started restructuring to pave way for the creation of police services in the newly declared districts in the country.


Deputy Inspector General of Police Solomon Jere has told QFM news that as part of the restructuring process, the Zambia police have advertised for recruitment in order to train more personnel to take up jobs in all the newly created districts.

Dr. Jere adds that so far about 1500 recruits are being trained in the three training facilities for the police.

The police chief adds most of the recruited once trained to be deployed to the new districts adding that the Zambia Police is ready to create district police stations.

President Sata so far created about 10 new districts in the country.

The move is aimed at decentralizing the operations of the government as well create employment opportunities in the created districts among other issues.
