President Hakainde Hichilema has reiterated that there will be no sacred cows in the application of the law on perpetrators of political violence.

The head of state has stressed the need for the Police and law enforcement agencies to be robust, fair, but firm in dealing with violence in the country.

Addressing a media briefing at State house today, Presidential Spokesperson and Special Assistant to the President for Press and Public Relations, Anthony Bwalya says President Hichilema has been and is still firm on his stance against political violence and those who perpetuate it.

And Mr. Bwalya says the democratic freedoms are being enjoyed equally by all in the country which is why even the opposition are being given the exact same platforms to hold meetings and gatherings as those in ruling party.

And commenting on the purported Joseph Akufumba-Levy Ngoma audio, the presidential spokesperson says no proper investigations have been carried out to ascertain the authenticity of the people in the audio.

Mr Bwalya says as far as things stands, everything regarding the audio in question is hearsay and that the President will not comment nor act on hearsay.

Mr. Bwalya also shared some outcomes of president Hichilema’s recent trip to the 2020 Dubai expo which among them is increased trade relations and technology exchange.
